7am is not early to start mowing ones grass. you can call the police but I am sure they will say noise ordiance is 7am till 9 pm. weekends might be a lil later. but I see no problems in it. my neighbor mows his grass between 7 and 8 am. I never had a problem. as I have done the same. after all when you get around 10 am its starting to get real hot.

.

have you ever walked out and ask him if he could start a lil later. as you like to sleep late on sundays. you be surpised how often this works. I am sure he isnt doing to it to **** you off. but if you dont ask then he will never know it ****** you off. but in the end I am sure he is well with in the law and nothng you can do but act like a lil immature child by playing loud music and all.

People that make unnecessary noise, especially early in the morning or late at night, need to crawl back under their rocks. I am sorry, but I am glad I don't have such idiots as neighbors.

Oh, it isn't good for grass to mow it when it is wet with the dew.

my freak neighbor as my dad called a "grass lover" not by smoking it but by cutting it! he must have cut the grass 4 times a week. not only that, he cut it at 630am!

I grew up for 20 years listening to his lawn mower in the summer in the early AM. In fact, he used to drag his lawn mower on our side of the yard to cut the grass that touches his fence. I guess he couldn't stand it.

Better be glad it wasn't 6:15am.

7:15 is not early.

Having kids, I haven't slept til 8am since 1999 or so. One of these days I will, pending neighbor's use of lawn implements.

At my old house, our next door neighbor to the left of us used to fire-up his Kawasaki at about 5:30am or so. No muffler on the bloody thing, straight pipe exhaust! He would walk his bike one house down-->so it was between our house and the neighbor to the right of us! Why? So he wouldn't wake up his daughter that early in the A.M.! He start it up (which was RIGHT next to our bedroom window), then find redline by the time he hit past his own house.

The 3rd day he did that, the neighbor next door gave him a piece of his mind. That was fun to watch!!!

It's difficult to understand some people's behavior.

It's usually some fat redneck who can't take the heat doing **** like that around here. Either that or some old retired dude with nothing to do and all day to do it.

The pattern in people want to conduct their activities the same as if they lived alone in the county and had zero neighbours as if they have them 30ft away, no difference.

Just because some people have to sleep their life away doesn't mean the rest of the world should come to a halt.

Sleep, like some people want to do at 11pm? Should I halt my activities just because my neighbour wants to "sleep his life away" at 10 or 11pm? I don't care what and when people want to do on their own property, as long as it does not intrude onto my property. If you want to do something that does intrude, you better be sure it's at an agreeable time....you don't live someplace with no neighbours, do you? Why then would you think it's ok to conduct yourself like you do?

Man am I glad I don't have some of you guys for my neighbors. Just because you all wake up at the crack of dawn doesn't mean you're better than everyone else or have the right to wake up your neighbors. I don't care what the sound ordinance says, have some respect! Personally, I feel guilty mowing my lawn before 10 am. Thank goodness my neighbors aren't up doing their lawns before then, either. At this point in my life (new baby), I get all the sleep I can.

Just observe the general public the next time you're at a mall or grocery store and you'll see that the concept of common courtesy is a thing of the past. After putting up with inconsiderate neighbors in apartments for years, I bought a house last year and was blessed with a set of the quietest neighbors on the planet. I return the favor by not mowing before 9AM and making as little noise as possible when doing any other chores. You reap what you sew when you live 20 feet from someone else, and I hope my considerate behavior is what prevents them from mowing their lawns at 7AM. Unfortunately, the houses on both sides of me are for sale and I just can't wait to see what inconsiderate riffraff buys them.
