Summer Thunderbird schedule.

Went to Willow Grova PA to see the Thunderbirds; great time as usual. They had some Russian acrobatic planes, A-10's (I think from the base; I used to work on A-10's) static displays too

Here is the schedule if anyone is interested. Sorry the schedule is already started. I didn't think of looking to see where they were until June. "March and April" don't really resonate in the north as summertime months.

I saw them three times as a kid. Never got to see the Blue Angels. When I saw them, their support aircraft (I searched for an image) was a twin prop transport where the front hinged sideways, IIRC. It reminded me of a blimp with outriggers (as you can tell, I'm not a aircraft buff).

I saw the U. S. Air Force Thunderbirds at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City way back in the summer of '75 or '76. Outstanding!

And BTW, they're right- that's not noise, that's the sound of freedom!

Gotta dig it when a B-2 flys over your house at a 1000 feet or so....check your drawers...

have a B52 fly over your house with 8 jet engines screaming like a banshee. thats a drawers checker.

I liked the thunderbirds better when they could break the sound barrier. ah the memories of my child hood of having a F-4 going mach 1 over the grandstands from the back of you. you learned quick at later shows. when yo usee one fly off. then see it fly over you not making a sound. you have a few seconds to plug your ears with your fingers.

still think they should of went with the F-15 over the F-16.

F-16 can out manuever anything, period. The Fabulous Thunderbirds, remember then well. Grew up a military brat in the 60's and 70's and I have to agree with Dark Jedi, 100% throttled up B52's will make you check all orifaces of your body.
