One thing to note, on the H6 engines, it's a major pain to get to the rear spark plugs. Both great, I have driven both in base versions as dealer loaner. Better MPG with 2010 Outback with CVT.

subarus are actually some of the most reliable Japanese vehicles now days, especially with Honda and Toyota's diminishing quality.

Plus, Subaru manufacturing plant is a "zero landfill" facility, so buying one may help the environment more than buying a Prius.

Not that this would make a big impact on my personal purchasing decision, but it does matter for some of us...

I love Subaru, can't beat the noise of the Boxer engine!

I prefer the older ones myself, all the new ones look dumb... But I'm sure they're solid vehicles.

I wouldn't touch a subi with the CVT transmission. Other than that they are great. CVT bites!

Subaru is one of the few foreign makes I'd consider owning if I had any money. Of course I'd have to have auto and v6.
