Subaru B9 Tribeca Oil Filter

can anyone tell me who makes Subaru's current OEM replacement filters? My wifes 2001 outback 4cyl OEM clearly stated "manufactured by Purolator" Our new 2006 B9 Tribeca uses a different filter.
SOA5165109 Oil filter ISO 6415 M20X1.5 B1-80Z 160
The factory filter was a Tokyo Roki, very nice I might add. Dealership didn't have one in time for the first oil change(2120miles) so I used a Purolator for the OutbackH6 L14459.
This OEM filter above stated does not resemble the Purolator L14459.
Could a person buy Tokyo Roki filters here in the USA?
Oh and this car requires SM GF4. I guess that means no GC!!!

Bah, doesn't stop me from using GC in my 2005 STi.

You just have to love the $5.xx filter and the $8.95 shipping cost!

That makes it one NICE filter. Beats even M1's cost.

Yeah, it would be silly to purchase just one as you get hammered with shipping cost. But order 12 and the shipping cost is the same. The cost per filter (incl. shipping) is then only $6.06, a good price for a high-quality filter.

A new Tribeca?? The front end of those things are definitely unique. Anyways buy the filters in bulk it will make up for the shipping.

. . . boldly reviving the look of the classic Edsel (IMO). I only hope, for Sube's sake, that the look catches on this time. Also purely IMO, for these prices I'd just use the Mobil 1 filter and not worry about shipping. My M1-filter-equipped used oil analysis have all been fantastic, FWIW.

I must apologize...correction. The purolator L14459 is exactly like the "Americanized" OEM stealorship filter($8.49). Good news, can buy them for $2.99 at Sears. Might just have to buy a few of the Toyo Roki's if I were to use GC in the winter months. Where is the cheapest/best place to purchase these Japanese made filters?
