Sink soap dispenser pump is really slow. Soaked pump in vinegar, tried to lubricate with wd40. After I depress the pump, it must have a spring that pushes the pump back into position. Couldn't find much on the Internet.

Any ideas?

There's some junk they put in detergent to give it viscosity. Otherwise it'd be like water. But when things go awry this junk sticks around and sticks to everything.

Also the viscosity matters; I tried diluting the hand soap at work 20% with water to thin it out but it didn't work as I thought. Needs to be within a narrow range, but not out to pot/ dried up.

I'd try taking it apart as you can get it and soaking the works in really hot water.

To be clear, this is a pump that attaches to a vessel under the sink, and that vessel gets filled with bulk Dial (etc)?

That's it. The one that is under the sink. I have tried a number of different soaps, most pretty light. Seems to be that spring that is slow to come back. Took most apart, but couldn't get to the spring area without breaking. Will try a water soak and then see the price of it and possibly a new one. You would think it would work for more then a year.

I am having the same problem with my kitchen sink soap dispenser. I let it sit overnight in warm water, but that did not work. I'll try something slippery (i.e. marvel mistery oil) to see if that does the trick.
