Stripped threads on aluminum valve cover

I drove the car today. It ran very well, and so far no CEL. So perhaps grounding is a non-issue in this case.

1FMF - thanks for the idea. Looks like it's out of my league though.

A more complete kit including - inserts with 3 different lengths, correct size drill and tap, installation tool and tang break off tool:

Look at the bright side, atleast it's not like a GM ecotec 2.2 thru the 4.2L. On these engines, the coil bolt runs down the tower and into the cylinder head. The bolts snap like a toothpick! A little bead of silicone will hold the coil in place to the cam cover should is happen. Best PM is to carefully remove the coil hold down bolts and never-sieze them.
