This oil filter was the other one on my porch. Paper note said “STP Synthetic 0w20& this for 6,000miles.

Said “same oil and same made in Vietnam CL filter in and on. Vehicle is 23’ GMC Terrain 2.0 and 30l on it. For build quality I’m amazed to see a tear

The STP uses various vendors. That looks like a Purolator filter? Def not a Premium Gard variant. I stopped using them and stick the the CarQuest premium / MicroGard Select.

This one almost has the old AC DELCO style or baseplate. Current STP/XL’s are Premium Guard. I use them.

Definitely Champ Labs made STP XL which is what's sold at AZ in this area. Many clues including but not limited to "ZZ" stamped on baseplate. Looking at the bypass piece seal area, thinking it would not have passed a flashlight test either. Just too wide pleat spacing with the torn pleat.

For those who don't know ... Champ Labs is also under the First Brands umbrella. Which also explains why the Fram Endurance (and some Fram PH with Ecore center tubes) is made by Champ Labs. Fram is also part of First Brands.
