I think that signifies if you follow the installation instructions it won't leak.

That's how I interpret it too.

Oh ok. Duh I guess

Maybe "check and make sure no leaks"? Funny, they make "universal symbols" that no one understands. Ha!

I totally agree!

My wife drives this car mostly to work and back. We only live about 5 miles from her work, so the car doesn't even get warmed up. I put PP 5W30 in with a TG filter this time. I'll run this stuff longer. What'd think, 2 yrs or 10K, which ever comes first?

now that makes more sense, 2 year or 10k is reasonable.

They don't look pretty, but they get the job done. I have no issues with e-cores, personally. I've used a few and cut a few open... never had an issue. The last one I cut open looked fantastic (also a 3387A, except under the "Mighty Guard" name).

I think I got this filter with an oil change special at AZ. Never cut one open before, so I was curious to see what it looked like. It looked good to me.

That's what I plan on doing next oil change. I'll probably run this fill of PP to 5K, which will probably around late spring or early summer of 2016. I'll plan on draining the oil but leave the filter on for the next oil change. That should make it a grand total of around 8K on the filter when I change it out. The TG should be able to handle that, seeing as it's rate for 10K.

Thanks!

Good ol' ecore. Did you give us all angles on the pleating? If so that's a nice looking filter. If they came in see through cans I would run them. I like the design when executed well.

That's all the pics I have. All the pleating looked good. No tears, etc. I just don't know the efficiency rating.
