Tried STP 0w20 this oci and find it to have quieted down my Chevy 1.5 turbo quite a bit. Have been using Pennzoil Platinum. Impressed with the 5qt jug no spill design to. Let the haters begin!

how many miles in? fresh oil could do that. STP is a fine Amalie oil

I do like the Max filter myself. Many on here would put out there the welded nut is a failure spot.

Nope I wouldn't either, any story I heard of was installer error wrenching the filter on using the nut. Then there's the crowd that says moisture gets trapped between the can and welded nut I guess creating a weak spot for blowout. Like you said if it were to happen BITOG be a great place for Show and Tell.
