Storing cast iron and aluminum calipers.

Hey I have some cast iron and aluminum calipers that I have powder coated and they will be sitting on a shelf for at least a year as I restore my mini cooper.
I coated the calipers with ACF-50 which is mineral oil based. I know that stuff CANT mix with DOT3/4 fluid so I am not reassembling the calipers yet.
If I want to reassemble the calipers is there some oil that I can coat them with to prevent rust that can mix with DOT3/4 fluid?
Or just leave it alone and when they are ready spray it with brake cleaner and reassemble the calipers and put them on?

If you already powder coated them, then the calipers should be fine as is

I'd just coat the bores with 'Ate brake cylinder paste':

product sheet (page 2)

You'll need it (or similar) before assembly anyway. Why not get it right now?

I would grab whatever aerosol oil you have on the shelf and give the machined surfaces a shot, make sure you have plastic blanks for the banjo holes. Box them up.
