Let's say we are comparing O'Reilly Synthetic vs Penn Yellow Bottle. Which one would work better for a 7.5k run?

Carquest and Napa full syn oils are practically Valvoline Synpower replicas. No clue where AZ, AAP or OReilly store brand oil comes from. But I would chose CQ or Napa full syn over PYB any day of the week.

Who is the blender for the oreily brand?
I'm personally not comfortable with conventional at 7500 mile runs without data to confirm its tbn retension is adequate and I'd use the store brand syn in your example.

However why run budget syn at 7500 miles when you can run real syn for 10000+ miles for only a few dollars more and be confident in the product instead of having the possibility the cheap stuff isn't up to the task.

I'd rather pay a few bucks more and dump it at a known acceptable interval and not pay for used oil analysis and instead spend that money in better oil that can run longer.

Yes. By the time you buy a store brand synthetic, you could go to Walmart and buy a name brand synthetic for less.

Supertech is 18$ per 5L jug?? M1 is 24$?? Id spend the xtra 6$ and call it a day. Wouldnt hesitate to run either tho since ST has good UOA's!

Around here Oriely's is manufactured by Warren. I picked up several quarts during their Lots of Loot Promotion and the WPP symbol is on the bottom of the quarts.

No. Warren Distribution blends the oil. Old World Industries distributes it according to their latest MSDS.
Havoline doesn't blend oil. It is a Chevron brand. Many AAP employees have misconceptions about who blends their house brand. I have heard Havoline and Castrol quite frequently. If I were to say that AAP is the same as any recognizable oil brand, it would be Peak.

What kind of car/engine is this going into?

In many cases I'd go with the synthetic. For example, Walmart's ST synthetic says GM 4718M, which NO dino can meet. Many of the house brand syns meet dexos1, and some might even meet Honda's HTO-06. And as someone else pointed out, Napa and Carquest synthetics are rebranded Synpower. Napa syn goes on sale a few times per year for the price of dino, so no reason not to buy the syn!

Why store brand syn or PYB? because I have a $5 off $5 coupon and I can get store brand syn or major brand dino at around $5.59 before coupon, 59c after.

I wouldn't pay full price for either one of them. I have many cases I got when there were rebates.

I have 4, so it would either go into 95 Corolla, 93 Escort, 97 Integra, or top off a 08 IS250.

The store-brands vary slightly in the regions, but most are done by the two different warren companies (Warren PP and Warren-Coastal). Napa is ashland but it is not Synpower... it has a weaker addpack.

Really any of the major store brands are good oil, some are very good. Some's add-packs outdo some of the major brands offerings but some of the major brands have better products. You really have to "peel the labels off" and ignore the name on the bottle and base things on the addpack/base oil characteristics.

The way I see it, a lot of the store-brands Syns are the same price as decent major brand's dino syn/blend offering and I would go with the store brand syn for that pricepoint. I am weary at stretching any dino for 7,500 unless it is an all in one shot 7,500 roadtrip on the highway. Go with a Syn with that OCI.

Unless you are shopping at the bargain-bin-no-name bottle in a gas station, it is hard to find a bad oil in a major retail place.
