Stinky Used Oil - 2011 Hyundai Oil Change

Japanese cars seem to have a high tolerance for neglect.
They do, I think because a lot of them are running on low oil too. I had an old Civic which was the first car I ever started doing maintenance on because some friends showed me how to change the oil and we did the brakes as well. My dad taught me to take maintenance seriously but that meant taking it to the local indy mechanic that worked on Hondas.

My wife is no better then you're neighbor. She was belly aching about a TPMS light on the dash for a week. I finally get around to it. The 1st thing I see is my oil change sticker. " Next service due 6/10/25 or 122,000k". The date was 7/19/25 & mileage was 124, 600 ! So, I ask her, " do you bother looking at the sticker on the upper left corner of the windshield " Her answer was " What sticker" I chewed her out a bit, ( only been putting the stickers there for 30 years ), do the oil change and fill up the tires. Then she says " Yay !!! I just sold a pair of shoes on Poshmark.......I shook my head and walked back to the garage,
