This might be a little long, but I have an I/O engine that is a 1980 GM Block, I believe to be a 1.6L, Chevette engine. It has sat for 5 years. I have replaced the starter solenoids, which were shot from moisture. It turns over fine, and has fresh gas in the tank. My problem is that it doesn't seem to be getting any spark. I replaced the coil, put in new plugs. The wires and cap and rotor seem to be in good shape. I have also cleaned all wire connections that I can think of. After all this even if I give it a shot of starter fluid, it still won't fire. Any ideas?
