~ 15 seconds in Florida and one minute in ILL in the winter. Any more than that is a waste IMO. I do drive easy for the first 5-10 minutes or until the water temp is nearing normal.

You're in Orange County, California there is no adverse weather in winter or summer. I drive as soon as I start the engine within 2-3 seconds, buy I drive easy the first 2-3 miles.

Yes, I'm in OC but I'm often in the mountains in the winter.

I wait for the RPMs to drop to about 1k, then take off and drive gently until the coolant temp hits normal range. That doesn't take very long at the start of summer in Florida. During "winter" I do the same, but it takes longer for the coolant to reach temp.

I start it, press the garage door opener (if the door is closed), put my sunglasses on (if needed), open the windows (weather permitting), put my seat belt on, put it in gear and drive away.

I do this in both summer (temps in the 80's and 90's) and winter (temps often sub-zero). Never more than about 15 seconds from start to moving.

+1

In the winter, when its -20 degrees outside, I'll give it 5 minutes, takes that long to come off the fast idle. During the summer, 30 seconds.

In the summer, its like everyone else, Start up, seat belt on, radio tuned, windows down, and then drive. im easy till the TC locks... Then its full game...

In the winter, i start up, and let warm about 3-5 mins. Maybe as i am cleaning off the car, one done, its get in and go.
