couldn't sleep in today, woke up at 0430 and SWMBO was snoring too loud.lol.so i got up fixed some breakfast and waited on day light.
i have an 82 dodge shortbed stepside truck(burgundy) that had not had a good wash since last spring and an 89 suzuki sidekick(white) in about the same condition.
i started off with the truck.i rinsed it off and sprayed it down with a dilute 50-50 mix of mean green and let that sit a few minutes.then a quick brush to get off the build up.rinse.then i used some starbrite suds and wax wash that a friend who owned a car business had given me.rinsed it and let it dry.this stuff gives a vehicle a low gloss lasting shine.
i then gave the suzuki the same treatment .
while it was drying i hit the truck with eagle one spray nano wax.this stuff was a pleasure to use .sprayed it on and rubbed with a cloth.it left the amatuer paint job very smooth ,i set the bottle down on the hood and it slid off.i was impressed.
then i approached the suzuki ,earlier this year i had installed a junk yard hood and grill to replace some damaged pieces.the junk yard pieces were very scratched up looking.even after washing they looked pretty bad.so i dug out the powerball and some turtle wax rubbing compound and went at it.this was my first ever attempt doing this.i keep the area wet and did 3 applications/rinses.this got 90%+ of the crud off and i let it dry.then i did the eagle one nanowax.the vehicle now has a pretty nice gleam for a flat white factory paint job.
now the dodge had not had a dedicated waxing in over a year, and the suzuki i'm not sure when it had one .i'm the third owner of it and it was pretty sad looking when i bought it 5 years ago.
this combo of starbrite and eagle one was pretty painless and effective and took about two and a half hours to do both vehicles.i think this will be combo from now on.

I am a big fan of the nano wax.. I use cheap soap Blue coral or even walmart. I use the eagle one nano wax then I go over it with the Turtle wax Ice detail spray very lightly with a microfiber towel the shine is great. And as u said its painless.. and quick.
