I was wondering if anyone has used the new "Eagle One Bucket-Free Car Wash". It is basically a spray-on car wash soap; no mixing with water.
You spray it on a wet car and wash with a mitt or sponge.

Advance Auto Parts has a special on it: Buy one, get one free (the free one actually comes after you send in the rebate).

I use the Mothers version of it called Trigger Wash (recently discontinued). I love it for a qucikie wash, when I don't feel like busting out the bucket and all that.

Using Trigger Wash I can wash and dry my truck in about 30 mins. It's a bit of a time saver since I don't have to fill a bucket and drag it around with me.

The Mothers product wasn't too successful in the marketplace so I wonder how the E1 product will sell. I think products like these have a niche appeal but it's hard to communicate that to potential buyers. People who want to hand wash at a coin-op car wash is a big target market, as are people who want to hand wash during the winter but don't want to dunk their hands into water all the time.

I am going to trying mixing a solution of car wash soap and spray on with a cheap one gallon garden sprayer as a "prewash". Then hose off to remove as much grit as possible. Should be about the same process.

Next step is to the spray (with the garden sprayer) each section and wash as normal from the top down using cotton mitts. Of course, using a seperate mitt for the wheels

I got a bottle with a rebate form attached so it was free. I thought it was a solution looking for a problem but used it twice so far. It suprised me in that it was very fast and the soap was better than my car wash stuff. It removed most of the bugs from the front without really scrubbing like usual. I'm actually going to buy the next bottle.

I just printed a rebate coupon good for up to $4.99 from the Valvoline web site. Coupon says you have to be a subscribed member, it printed out with my name on it. I'll probably try anything (well maybe not anything) that's free.
