Was wondering if anybody here has used or uses this. Haven't seen it mentioned before. Having said that, this is some pretty pricey stuff at $28 a gallon.
It's been recomended to me at one of the auto parts stores that I like to shop at. No clue what it is, or why it works. I'm suspicious of the whole enzyme thing.
WalMart carries it in my area. One was with regular additives, another store it was in the sporting goods section where boat/water stuff is sold. Forgot ro check out the price....
Great product for Marine applications and where ethanol gas will sit for extended periods of time.
While expensive to buy the treatment dosage is very small. They have a standard formula and a concentrate formula.
Standard formula = 1 ounce of Startron treats 6 gallons of fuel. So an 8 ounce bottle treats 48 gallons of fuel. Will cost you about $7 for the bottle( $6.99 here ). So $7 / 48 = $0.14#### cents p/gallon to treat.
Concentrate formula = 1 ounce of Startron treats 16 gallons of fuel. So an 8 ounce bottle treats 128 gallons of fuel. Will cost you about $13 for the bottle( $12.99 here ). So $13 / 128 = $0.10#### cents p/gallon to treat.
It actually is not very expensive at all. IMOA.
Actually, $28 for a gallon bottle is cheap. That size treats up to 512 gallons of fuel. $28 / 512 = just $0.05### cents p/gallon to treat.
