Yes, the propane tank is for the genset.
Generac has their own oil. It’s a synthetic 10W30. I suppose any synthetic small engine oil will work. Even though the 999cc V-Twin is marked as a Generac power plant, it appears to be a rebranded Kohler.
I assume an automatic transfer switch. Load shedding?
You must have an electric heat pump to need something that big?
Is the engine 3600 RPM or 1800 RPM. If I was to get a generator that large I think I would look for a 1800 RPM engine.

Nice, thats a nice large supply that won't go bad like gasoline.
The problem with dual fuel generators is storing energy density. It takes a lot of grill tanks to have enough on hand vs gasoline. But a permanent stand by generator with a dedicated large propane tank is a great setup. I like it!

Yes, automatic transfer switch with load shedding. It’s an air cooled 999cc V-Twin so, it will not run at the lower RPMs as a water cooled or diesel. Those type of units are usually of higher Kw output and twice the cost of this one. Yes, I have an electric heat pump and a PTAC unit for the attached guest apartment.
