ST10358 - Packaged Wrong ?

Picked up a few filters from Walmart yesterday , 2011 Prius. Always check the box to make sure of what I'm getting, to my surprise... Wire backed synthetic media !! Were these boxed wrong or is this the normal $2.97 filter ?

Remains a ST mystery outlier excellent value cartridge. Haven't seen an explanation, but as long as fit in housing good, grab a couple/few.

Looks about right for the normal $2.97 filter. The super tech ST10158 cartridge filter used on my 4runner is also wire backed media and is made in the USA. Darn good bargain.
