So, I bought a new 2026 392 Moab a few weeks ago. Bought a couple SRT MO-041 filters from a dealership. They look typical of the pictures I've seen; plastic bagged, all markings directly ink printed on the can, marked made in Poland, bypass valve in the bottom, louvered holes aimed up.

Today, a box of 12 showed up from Moparpartsgiant.com. The boxes are slightly different, but definitely within the scope of a real Mopar box. However, the filters are different. The first thing is the markings are on a label rather than inked to the can. Not marked made in Poland. Marked made in USA. Bypass valve at the top, just under the threaded mount hole. Screen core is smaller in diameter and the holes have different shaped louvers.

The bottom bypass valve has been criticized in the past. Maybe Mopar did something about it?

Its a USA Purolator made can, which also supplies FCA / Stellantis with filtration products as an Original Equipment Supplier.

You can tell it has a Baseplate bypass valve end. The Poland made can bypass valve assembly is at the bottom dome end. Use with confidence or you can crack one open here for our viewing pleasure.

keep receipts these were dealership purchased if any doubts, I would want to believe purchased dealer direct you're not getting counterfeit parts if something was to happen I hope they have answers to back up their claim on the part not being genuine. one filter is C-2016 the other 2025 manufacturing is sure to change in a 9 yr period. No negative talk but my major concern would be the louvers regardless of the engine and that's a hefty engine I wouldn't want louvers.
