There are "meat and potatoes" eaters who've never downed a raw oyster in their lives.
Then there are a subset of the "meat and potatoe eaters" who need their steaks cooked to eliminate any signs of blood.
From time to time I overcook mine to medium rare and it tastes like a heated dishrag. I wanted to throw it in the trash.
A properly prepared steak should be dead cold after the first 1/8 inch of searing on the outside.
These people are missing out on a lot of good stuff.
