VQ35DE, 5 out of the 6 plugs look exactly like this

They only have 18k miles on them( I am at 82k). There was no oil pooling in the tubes. I did put antisize on them.

Here is the 6th one.

Why do most of them have that white crust?

This is how my plugs looked at 64k When I originally changed them out for maintenance.

Well I am experiencing a rough idle so I am tying to figure it out. The white crust cant be normal?

If you still have the old plugs, you can eliminate your concern by swapping them in and see if the problem goes away. In all likelihood, the spark plugs are not the cause of the problem but this will prove it for sure.

I do have a tune I got it shortly after the plugs. I did a dyno with AFR about a month ago and the Dyno guy said it was ok.

I googled it and people do say white plugs mean its running lean or burning something? I am having some oil consumption as well.

Yea, but my engine hardly consumed oil 5k miles ago (1/2 a quart in 5k miles) then to 1 quart every ~2k miles, so 5/6 cylinders ll of a sudden are bad? its very odd imo.

Those plugs don't look bad at all. Excessively lean mixtures might result in blistered insulators and eroded electrodes, which doesn't appear to be the case here. So if you're running lean, I suspect it's mildly so. Is your engine modified? You could always try a plug one number colder and see what happens. Brown to gray-tan deposits on the electrodes are normal. Light brown deposits on the electrodes may be ash deposits from oil or gasoline additives, possibly caused by oil seepage (although your plugs don't show oil fouling), additives you're adding to the fuel, or the nature of the additive package for your particular gas. You can try a different brand of gas if you want. Regardless of the source, the deposits are not excessive.

If you think those plugs are bad, you should see some that i have removed from other vehicles. You would be amazed.

That does not look like oil burn residue, but more of a lean condition. Ask your tuner what the A/F was.

Other than that they look near perfect.

The plugs look fine.
#6 may be a naturally hotter/cooler cylinder due to coolant flow, etc.,
And the plug may have been indexed at an angle to produce a tiny bit of shadow on the porcelain.
As an afterthought, you mention that you have a special tune now, that you did not have before!
You didn't think that was important with your original post?

So just reinstall them. See you in another 40K.

Yep I re-installed them going to keep running them.

I just found my Pics I thought I had deleted. Here is a Dyno Pull they did 3 pulls (5/18) 4k Miles ago. Was at altitude + Mustange dyno = hearbreaker. I was running 10hp less than the Rev Ups with more mods.
