Spare Tire Air Pressure ?

If your 2001 LS is like my 2003 Grand Marquis, it may have a full-size spare, which would be the same as your other tires, 32-35 PSI. Or the temporary would be 50-60. Definitely check the sidewall… And thanks for the reminder to check the pressure on mine.

I check the spare every oil change - and inflate it with dry air to the maximum sidewall pressure since it will sit for a while.

I know I am within tire limits at that pressure. For a temporary, you need to be close to that pressure for the load rating to be valid. And for a full-size, I will air it down to recommended if I have to put it on.

Just checked the '12 Camry and '21 Corolla which both state 60psi as mentioned above. A.P. is noted on the driver's door jam also in most instances. I've been meaning to air them so will do so asap.

Thank you all..
I will check the sidewall today. I will fill it up to designed pressure.
I wanted to make sure the labeled pressure wasn't a "max" pressure and actually a road ready pressure. If that makes sense. Thank you all for the help!

If it's a donut, usually 60 psi. If it's a full-size spare, the same pressure as the other tires.

Also, if you have a donut, consider replacing it with a full-size spare. Get a wheel from the junkyard and a used tire (or a cheap Douglas from Walmart)

As an update, and thanks to all the people reached out to help thank you.
So I Did find a spare Tire and tools. Pressure was 27. Tire pressure was very, very low to being dangerous up front especially.
I bet it is very common to not check Tire pressure.
Anyway, my wheel is at 60 and I got an eye on it.
Be Safe!

I inflate the spare in the wife's Honda to the max ,as listed on the sidewall: 60psi. If it ever gets used the pressure can be reduced.
