I have a 1990 Bentley with the old style solid lifter engine. Pennzoil GTX Classic (high zinc) is made in the 10w-40 weight. I can find the 20w-50, but not the 10w-40 here in the USA. I find It in Europe but shipping here is not a good plan. Is there a source anyone has found here in the USA?

Castrol GTX Classic is unfortunately only available in 20W-50.

Valvoline VR1 is available in 10W-30 and 20W-50.

Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40 is also gasoline rated, and it has higher levels of ZDDP. It is widely available.

Delvac extreme 15w-40 has almost 2400ppm of phos and zddp combined and it's much better than that. Get it at walmart in store or online.
Look at one or the other don't add both together, generally the ppm of zinc and phos will be around the same because you're looking at the same additive from a different angle.

If you want a high zddp oil, look at Valvoline VR1, it's available in multiple viscosity grades and is formulated specifically for high performance gasoline engines with solid lifters. Walmart these days carries 5qt jugs of it in 20W50. There's also 15W50 Mobil1 it still has like 1200ppm of phos too.

I get what you're saying but you'd be hard pressed to ever see a notable delta in the two additives blended in an oil. They'll never be the same true but they're never far apart. I believe it's 1100 of one and 1300 of the other in delvac extreme.

I like that era Bently and Rolls, classic look, please post a pic.

If it was me, I would use either M1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W40 or M1 15W50. Both Mobil 1's are API SN and carry around 1300 ppm zinc. Well above the typical ILSAC of 600 to 800 ppm zinc.

A 5W40 synthetic will do everything a 10W40 mineral would do, and more.
