Hey Gang,

I realize that there are many variations, and levels of quality of microfiber towels in the market. I am curious about what companies, as well as products that you would recommend.

A few years ago I bought several blue MF towels at Walmart, but they no longer carry the same quality of product. Personally I like the higher density product with a hemmed border, but I am open to suggestions.

Thanks in advance to all of you who respond.

I have used them a few times. Customer service is excellent. Products come from either So Korea (premium) or China (budget) but they own both factories so QC is tight.

They have a huge variety so whatever you are looking for, they will have it.

I have some from these guys off amazon. They have a borderless shag towel similar to the Zainadine ones but not quite as effective for whatever reason...

if you have a smaller vehicle, I have used (and def would use again) Meguiar's Supreme Shine. They come in a 3 pack and I use two for my Highlander & my old Civic--one to wipe off the big blobs, the second for the small drops. The 3 pack usually goes for 5-7 bucks. For bigger jobs (my Sienna), I like the autogeekonline Cobra Supreme--they let you pick the sizes, and they are incredibly absorbent.

Depends on the use.

I use https://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys-MIC_1995-Mammoth-Microfiber/dp/B0042Z0LEO/ref=sr_1_6?crid=24F673FA8KIGR&keywords=chemical+guys+microfiber&qid=1553530649&s=gateway&sprefix=chemical+guys+%2Caps%2C187&sr=8-6

to dry the car.

Interior and glass, I'm not picky with using stuff from Wallyworld

Been using these from Cal Car Cover, very plush and soft

Yeah, I use the cheapie ones from wallyworld for windows.
I bought some bigger yellow amazon brand ones for body work and such.

I have read it is important how you wash them as well to get the best life out of them.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all of your responses. I really appreciate it. You have brought some new sources to light for me and others here on BITOG to consider.

One more question. For those of you that have used them.....do you notice much difference in how a "waffle weave" towel performs vs a regular microfiber?

Personally I have never used a waffle weave towel but I am not sure what advantages they offer.

Thanks in advance for your answers and opinions.

P.S. BITOG is great place for those of us who all think a like and enjoy keeping our vehicular assets in great condition. I am amazed at the number of people in the general population of just don't care about maintaining the second most expensive asset they they will ever purchase....thanks.

I have used waffle weave towels before on glass but was never really impressed. I would focus on the GSM (grams per square meter) number for quality. Obviously a thicker and plusher towel is better for buffing.

Welcome to BITOG

Here is a YT video that is pretty good on the subject.

I absolutely love the rag company, and their MF cloths are the best I've ever used...
