Aco hardware has service pro syn blend oil for $2.49 a qt. I've never used it before, is it any good? I usually just buy the 5qt jugs of maxlife at walmart but was thinking of trying some service pro. Anybody here use it and like it or dislike it?
Sounds like a good deal, is this stuff any good?

Yeah, $2.49 is a good price for just about any oil today(if it's the latest service grade oil, SN/GF-5).
I was in the pharmacy the other day picking up a perscription. I had to walk through the "skimmpy auto section" in order to get to the back of the store where my perscription was waiting. Pennzoil Conventional and other oils were $6.00/qt. OUCH!
I have never used Service Pro Oil nor have I seen it. There may be a PQIA test on it and if the oil tests out well, then use it!
Many oils are a syn/blend today without stating so on the oil bottle label. Until you know how this oil measures up with the better known oils including other store brand oils such as SuperTech, use what you've been using.

Service Pro is a decent product. Our oil distributor at the Ford dealership offers it as their "house" brand. We get Service Pro wiper blades, filters, etc...
The previous dealership that I worked for had a sister store in Sioux Falls. That store was a Honda store. Consequently, the locals purchased a lot of Hondas through that store, but we serviced them.
Hondas call for 0w20 synthetic motor oil. We stocked the Service Pro 0w20 and that is what we used to service the Hondas that came in for oil changes.

It is made by several different companies; including Warren Unilube.
