Both are NSAID's and do the same exact thing. IBU is fine to take 4 at a time (800mg) for short 2-3day periods in 4 hour intervals. Anymore than that and you are entering liver and GI distress issues.

He may well have hurt it and it may well be an issue. He probably doesnt have healthcare, so at least he is asking questions.

Given that it seems OP is many days out, he should alternate heat and ice, which have different mechanisms by which they suppot healing. Is the bruise visible with a mark and swelling to indicate bleeding?

I was kind of under the impression that tylenol was recommended vs. aspirin or ibuprofin due to bleeding rates... Not sure how that naproxin stuff plays in.

Carbon MONOxide is CO. Not CO2, carbon DIoxide.

Had to leave work today. I feel a pain right where my back meets my butt. When I move certain ways, it feels shooting and OWWW.. I need to slowly and gently move somewhere.

Something feels WRONG there. Thankfully my manager is sympathetic and could see I was trying to work through it!
