SONATA N Line

I've never driven a DCT but I'm interested in a Kia forte GT with the 7 speed. How is it around town at light throttle? Is it jerky at times?

290 HP in a FWD? Doesn't the 255 HP RWD Kia Stinger cost about the same as this Sonata? Personal preference, obviously, but I like the looks of Stinger more. The N line is obviously faster.

Creeping up into Maxima & Camry V6 territory pushing 290 through the front wheels. 252 is interesting enough in a Focus. I believe I'd want AWD with that much grunt. But I'm a leadfoot.

The FWD torque steer is manageable in normal and sport mode but crazy in sport plus mode without traction control. BTW the 2021 Kia K5 GT and Stinger have the same 2.5T engine and 8 speed DCT.

The 8 speed DCT is very smooth in normal drive mode but the shift points in sport and sport plus are very close and can be jerky

If that’s just the N line imagine a Sonata N. I assume it would probably get the LSD front diff from the Veloster N, adjustable suspension, and a wild exhaust.

I liked the previous gen Sonata design but the new one just looks too contemporary. Don’t know how well it’ll age over time.

Hyundai indicates no plans to do an N version of the Sonata but who knows. Offering LSD and/or AWD would be nice options. I agree that the 2021 Sonata N Line is rather radical when compared to my 2017 Sonata Limited 2.0T trade in.
