It appear's some people have complained about the term niggler in my signiture?? Quite frankly any one who doesn't know the words niggler and to niggle must have an education that is worse than mine which is admittedly bad!! Probably does not read much and has a poor lexicon? So Im not really sorry about some People missunderstanding but I have removed the word from my signiture any way for the sake of peice!! I jsut whish that if any one felt offended he should have asked me before complaning to a moderator?? Or maybe they could have made an effort and looked up the word they didn't know!! I think that would be reasonible and also easy to do since they were already on the Internet any way??

I may be the worlds worst speller but that does not mean I am an Idiot or a racisct or whatver else some People may want to beleive!! Show a little curtesy and be a bit less hippocritical!! Need I point out how much fun was made off me in the Humor forum just the past two days over some obsceen term I failed to realise?? How about that!!! I have no problem with pollitical correctness but if it goes so far that you cant use a word that somewhat resembles another word with a very different meaning then thats jsut stupid!! I suppose some people are afraid to say any thing because some one might missunderstand them. I feel real sorry for those people!! I'm going to Bed now.

Oilpants I am sorry that happened. I did look it up and explained it to some that contacted me. I wish I had posted the defination. The problem is some of us read things and are in a hurry and miss some of the content or key letters. I enjoy your post. Hang in there Oil Pants! Non illigitamus carborundum! Look at it another way--somewhere there are villages that are missing an idiot or two...that might sound harsh but anyone who knee-jerk reponds in abject ignorance like that is also intellectually lazy. Too lazy, and too PC for theirs or anyone else's good. When I'm occasionally confronted by the PC types I take them on with little regard for their feelings, and without hesitation take the offensive to point out the knee-jerk ignorance they spout. If a PC type person has the guts to make a stupid remark around me I call them on it! Today, with libraries filled with books of every description, pocket dictionaries that cost less than lunch at McDonalds, to say nothing of the Internet and search engines--they have no excuse what-so-ever for being ignorant. The PC types that I've run into would have made good little Germans back in the day. That is why I have so little respect or patience for them.

although the word has nothing to do racism but one also has to keep in mind that it does sounds awfully similar, it does!

...and not every single person on this continent has an English major, gross misunderstanding are bound to happen. I guess such words perhaps are better suited to be used in an academic setting rather than public.

Just to be safe, especially politicians can go for diff words with similar meaning...

but i do understand that, if we just keep abandoning words where do we stop, where do we draw the line, are we going to change the language and re-interpret the words or just create new ones?

The ignorant tool who can't read/spell, come forward and say sorry for not looking up the word themselves! It took me all of 5 seconds to open a new window and type the word into my search bar!

I hear you on the pettiness of some......squealers. As much as I've helped and mentioned your spelling - I am very direct about it - I will do it publicly! It seems so childish that someone would report your sig to Helen/mods, but it seems like there are a lot of "reporters" lately. The mods and Helen do their best to sort out the real stuff from the people with a grudge, I'm sure.

BTW you misspelled "complainer" in you sig. Sorry couldn't resist!
