Looks the inventory of cordless lawnmowers at my local Home Depot exceeded the gas powered ones. Rhyobi and Dewalt is being stocked. The Dewalt can hold two 12 AH batteries. That’s a lot of Vampires!

Dewalts have lasted me 10 years easy with semi daily use at work.Wow! Dewalt and Ryobi are going to make bank selling replacement/spare batteries for those things.
I’m starting year 4 on my Dewalt 5Ah Lithium battery which powers my weed whacker and reciprocating saw. These aren’t grandpa’s NiMH batteries. Mine still has its full power. If you want a second one, the price has dropped to about $65.Dewalts have lasted me 10 years easy with semi daily use at work.
.my guess is 12 to 15 min per battery. You would need 2 or 3 batteries to mow . Its just a guess. How long does a full charge last? I know there are different capacity batteries. Lets just say a middle of the road capacity. My lawn takes 25 mins to cut. How long would a charge last? 2 cuts? 3 cuts? Do you charge after each use?
Thanks In Advance
Yep.We've come a long way from the Neuton
Didn't Milwaukee just come out with a M18 lawn mower?
It’s advanced way beyond that. An hour of full-on run time is not uncommon depending on the mower, and the amp hours. Some mowers have 24 AH of capacity..my guess is 12 to 15 min per battery. You would need 2 or 3 batteries to mow . Its just a guess.
Small gas engines are in short supply. That may be a reason they are stocking so many electrics.I don't blame them for selling mostly electric lawnmowers, that's where the market is. It only makes sense for people with small yards. Around here, everybody has to have a zero turn because you're not cool if you don't have one. Even the folks on 1/4 acre lots, I get a chuckle out of it.
