Rigorously Enforce Our Civil Rights Laws
As president, John Kerry will strongly enforce our nation's civil rights laws, support affirmative action to reduce discrimination and expand opportunity, and strongly enforce equal justice for all victims of hate violence. He will also back the Fairness Act to reverse damage done to civil rights laws by right-wing judges and only appoint judges with a record of enforcing the nation's civil rights and anti-discrimination laws.
Here comes the leftist of left judge appointments .

Make Immigration More Fair And More Secure
John Kerry strongly supports responsible reform of our immigration laws that honors our tradition as a nation of immigrants and makes America stronger. He will offer a reform bill in his first 100 days that allows immigrants to earn legalization, encourages family reunification, and strengthens our border protections. By reforming our immigration laws, John Kerry will honor America's promise and strengthen America's economy and security.
The radical Muslims will have a field day with this kind of immigration.Lets just open the floodgates and let people in without checking anything.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
John Kerry and John Edwards will:
Help Balance Work And Family
John Kerry and John Edwards will greatly expand after-school programs to serve 3.5 million children and fund a historic increase in the Child Care Tax Credit to meet the needs of overstretched parents.
How will this be paid for? The lower income brackets will pay for this.If a person thinks for one minute that the 'rich' will pay for all of these things, they are living in a fantasy world. Maybe that is why they support Kerry, they are living in make believe land.
---------------------------------------------------
Protect Women's Health And Right To Choose
John Kerry was an original co-sponsor of the Women's Health Equity Act, which ensures women's access to the highest quality and most advanced health care available. As president, John Kerry will increase funding for breast and cervical cancer research and treatment, require insurance plans to cover contraception and fight for a meaningful Patients' Bill of Rights to guarantee women direct access to their OB/GYNs. And John Kerry will only nominate individuals to the federal bench whose records demonstrate a respect for the full range of constitutional rights, including the right to privacy and the right to choose.
Once again, the leftist of left judges will be appointed. We might as well give up the notion of having any kind of penal system in this country. This will be a huge mistake. In my state, the government tried some of these ideas. It was a disaster. We ended up with 3-4 insurance companies that sold any kind of healthcare. We had a VERY limited amount of plans available, plus, they were outrageously high. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Affordable, high-quality health care will keep our families healthy, our businesses competitive, and our country strong.
Over the last three years, family premiums have increased by more than $2,600 and prescription drug prices have grown four times faster than inflation. These skyrocketing costs have hurt our economy and forced many families into bankruptcy.
We deserve a president who understands that in America, regular check-ups shouldn't empty family checkbooks - a president who will put people ahead of insurance and drug companies.
John Kerry and John Edwards have a plan to address soaring premiums and cut Americans a break. Their plan will lower family premiums by up to $1,000 a year, cut waste from the system, lower the cost of prescription drugs to provide real relief to seniors, and use targeted tax cuts to extend affordable, high-quality coverage to 95 percent of Americans, including every child. And because John Kerry and John Edwards believe that everyone's health is equally important, they will provide all Americans with access to the same coverage that members of Congress give themselves.
To make affordable health care a right - not a privilege - for every American, John Kerry and John Edwards will:
Cut Your Premiums
John Kerry and John Edwards will cut family premiums by up to $1,000. That's $1,000 in real savings people can use to buy groceries, pay the bills, and save for their children's future. And that will mean more jobs and more competitive American businesses.
Cover All Americans With Quality Care
The Kerry-Edwards plan will give every American access to the range of high-quality, affordable plans available to members of Congress and extend coverage to 95 percent of Americans, including every American child. Their plan will also fight to erase the health disparities that persist along racial and economic lines, ensure that people with HIV and AIDS have the care they need, end discrimination against Americans with disabilities and mental illnesses, and ensure equal treatment for mental illness in our health system.
Provide Affordable Prescriptions
The Kerry-Edwards plan will reduce prescription drug prices by allowing the re-importation of safe prescription drugs from Canada, overhauling the Medicare drug plan, ensuring low-cost drugs, and ending artificial barriers to generic drug competition.
Cut Waste And Inefficiency
Today, approximately 25 percent of health care costs are wasted on paperwork and administrative processing. The Kerry-Edwards plan harnesses American ingenuity to cut waste, save billions, and take new steps to ensure patient privacy.
This will be a huge mistake. In my state, the government tried some of these ideas. It was a disaster. We ended up with 3-4 insurance companies that sold any kind of healthcare. We had a VERY limited amount of plans available, plus, they were outrageously high.
Before my state government got involved in regulating insurance,a single 50+ year old woman could get a pretty good health plan through State Farm for around $80.00 a month. Not bad.
After the state got involved,a single male, early 20's,non smoker-non drinker with good health paid more than that and this was through a group plan at a job.
A family did and still does pay an extremely high rate.We have the STATE government to thank for this.
We still have only a few insurance companies in the state. The ones we do have are restrictive to certain doctors and hospitals. Many people have to pay out of pocket expenses before the insurance even begins to pay anything.
Many still pay a quite high co-pay for medication. They pay a quite high co-pay for doctor visits.
We are in many ways, worse off than we were BEFORE the government got involved.
Before the GOV. involvement,a person could shop around and get the plan they needed at a price they could afford. After the GOV. involvement, you took what was ' AVAILABLE ' because there was no place else to get insurance. You COULD NOT get insurance out of state, that was and is prohibited, unless you work in state for an out of state based company or you work out of stste and live in state.
There are now I think about 6 insurance companies to choose from, however, you are still quite limited in physician choices, that is if any actually accept it.
