Solution to sulfur-bacteria in well water?

check with your state/county, as they may have a water quality department that may or may not be willing come out and test and give some good sound advice, hopefully free.

My water softener company got back to me regarding water softener cleaner: they just recommended to pour 1/4 cup of bleach down the tube in the brine tank.

I always thought bleach at that point was hard on the system/resin. I’m not knowledgeable of this practice

Got my water test results:
IRB: 35,000 CFU/ml
SRB: 325 CFU/ml

Given how high these numbers are, AIO will not cut it. I may have to go for the 1054 Ozone Iron Guardian, plus start with having the well bulk chlorinated and all the plumbing and water softener sanitized. Ugh...

SRB handleable - but the iron bacteria wow. You know what to do, but yeah PAIN.
