My SIL currently has a '17 Murano that she bought it new in '17. This particular dealer was discounting them a boat load of money at that time and she has driven it without issue for 9 years thus far and never even thought about the CVT.
I've driven her Murano lately myself and even took it on a couple of trips from NY-PA & back with her & hubby. VERY NICE!
She & I both had 1st gen Lexus RX300's(we both has 2001's) and I sold ours to her other sister who drove it til the tranny died. This Murano(2015-'24) is a nicer SUV. More reliable than both of our RX's. AND, both of our RX's had many of the same issues(not terrible but fussy) and finally both RX's trannies died. I maintained ours and she didn't and it didn't seem to matter.
IMO, our RX was the most disappointing vehicle I've ever owned for the money! It wasn't a disaster of a vehicle(until the end) but it wasn't a good LEXUS either. Or even a good Toyota, in the that way we know Toyota/Lexus vehicles to be.
OTOH, our NISSAN's have been just the opposite of their reputation.
It's something, isn't it?
I won't be buying another NISSAN anytime soon as they are very hard to get rid of on the used car market. No one seems to want them in my area due to their reputation. However, I am in another Toyota and my stay here just due to their reputation even though, I haven't driven a Toyota/Lexus(in my price range...$40Kish) that I can honestly say that I like driving. They're just, Mhhhh!
And just Mhhhh is OK if the car doesn't give me any grief and just goes about it's business without fuss!
Can you sense some RANT here?
