So, why do my magnets stick?

Gents,

I'm using a Fram Titanium oil filter on my '15 Chevy Volt. Of course, being a geek, I have magnets and a pair of FilterMags on the filter (FS3980 in case anyone's curious).

Now I'm wondering if I've been scammed. The magnets are sticking to the filter just fine, but titanium is not magnetic. What gives?

If not, are you saying that you understand enough to know that titanium is not ferromagnetic, but that you actually believe the filter is composed of the element?

"Titanium" is a now a buzz word. Some items/juices containing not a single atom of the element, Ti, have Titanium in the name.
