Today I sold my 1988 Toro GTS 21 inch mower (Suzuki 4.5 hp two cycle motor) to a Toro dealer for $30. It still runs like a champ. That was a great motor, but I'll be moving and I no longer needed it. I paid $399 for it in 1989, some serious shekels then for a mower.

I tried to sell it on FB Marketplace two years ago for a month and got no inquiries. This weekend I even contacted a guy who buys old mowers and fixes them to resell. No luck. It takes an old head to know the value of that Suzuki motor, and no one around here wanted it. The Toro dealer took it before I headed to the dump with it. I figure got my good use out of it.

When I was a kid that was the mower we had, except it was a rear bagger. I remember using it a lot!

You should have put it for sale on here I bet someone would have bought it for a lot more than. I would have paid 100 for it but I can't drive to NC to buy a lawnmower.

I garbaged picked one of these. I thought I had the steal of a lifetime. Started it up and purred like a kitten until she got hot. Turns out the coil was bad, at the time they wanted $ over 200 for new coil.
