I find it more satisfying and more financially sensible to rebuild. Having said that, a Briggs Quantum was the only carb I ever had trouble rebuilding. Rebuilding is often necessary, as the rubber needle seat swells from ethanol and the bowl gasket hardens.
As a side note, none of my OPE has ever suffered from use of E10, only when I pick them up used and neglected. Seems sitting unused is death for any OPE, E or not.
