Snap-on ratchet maintenance?

I've got a couple of older Snap-on 3/8" and 1/2" ratchets (inherited from my Dad). One of the 3/8's was left in my truck tool box and has gotten a little rusty.

Is it hard to take these apart? What type of oil/grease should I use? It is marked with 71-D and has 2 small slotted screw heads on the back side of the ratchet head. Can anyone provide some instruction?

Of course. Just remove the two screws and put some wheel bearing grease on the teeth, put it back together and work it both directions. I have several of these ratchets that are 30+ years old, still going strong.
