I hope to live long enough to read about old junk SN oils being for antique vehicles and will harm today’s 2061 electro motive hydrogen 459cc vehicles.
Goodness except for my last Mobil 1 purchase I guess I'd better dump my whole stash down the Kitchen sink!

Scuttlebutt is that at midnight SN bottles and contents simply evaporate.

Weird. A random allotment of SN oil has kept my Tahoe's engine going 210K without needing anything but regular maintenance.
If I put SP oil in, does that mean the truck will last to 500K? Effing hope so... by then a Chevy Tahoe will cost $190K at this rate.

So, if the owners manual says to use an oil “Meeting or exceeding ILSAC specification GF-2, including ACEA A1, API SJ, SJ/CF, and SJ/Energy Conserving.”, then why would I care about the obsolescence of SN?

I still use Castrol Edge 0W30 API SL. I guess my BMW will explode bcs. lobbying organization for petroleum manufacturers decided something that is absolutely irrelevant.

Anyone else who is concerned about their SN stash should PM me for proper recycling.
LOL you know when the Corolla was New it called or API SL and its going to use what ever I have. That is unless someone shows me documentation on a URL that guarantees with 145,000 plus miles on the car its going to add over 300,000 miles of engine life to what I know is left in the car. Its an easy 300,000 mile car with any kind of reasonable maintenance.
the next OC from my minimal stash(~30 qts) will probably be in my nephew's new to him 99 F150 (4.2l Essex V6).
I hope the (21yr old) engine doesn't grenade with "obsolete" oil!
takes 6 qts, I have 6qts of MC 5w20 blend (SN) and 6 qts of QSAD 5w30(SN Dated Aug, '18) standing by for him to choose from, with a Wix 51516(FL-400s)
-from that wonderful era when Ford back spec'd everything to 5w20, it was originally Spec'd for 5w30.
I'll let the owner Choose.

Not to worry, if you have SN in your sump now your are grandfathered in, for your stash just don't let anyone see you use it.
