I have a hand held makita leaf blower that is billowing white smoke out the exhaust. I just changed the oil and it wasn't doing it before. I thought maybe I put a little too much oil (only holds 2.7 oz), so I changed it again, carefully measured the oil and it is still doing it. I put a new plug in it about a month ago. It still starts on the first pull. It's about 2 years old. What to do? It's 4 stroke.

What brand oil was it, Maxlife Next Gen?

Possible overfill, are you blowing snow around with it in dixiland? It may just be cold enough you are seeing condansation blow out. You may not be used to seeing that in the south, but its common up north.

I have the same blower, Dolmar PB 251.4. Same Makita Robin engine. You can't store the blower veritically or upside down, etc. If you do, oil will slip past the rings and will smoke when you start up. It will eventually burn out, but may take a bit.

If you didnt do this, i would make sure you are using correct oil 10w30. How many hours are on it?
