smoke colour

if i overprime my b&s (quantum XM 50) rotary lawn mower, it starts with a cloud of whitish/blue smoke. it's done this since brand new, now 6 yrs old and hardly used

but if i prime it with only 3-4 pumps, it starts with no smoke at all

i always found that blue smoke was oil consumption, black smoke overfueling and white smoke condensation or something worse on a water cooled engine

so i'm confused

Rich mixture washes oil off of cylinder and piston walls, not good for any engine.
