smart sync pro

At work I have smart sync pro on my computer. I use it to back up the computer to a RAID 1 HDD external.

I have it review my "my documents" and my desktop to update any files.

Thing is, it is REALLY slow. Two issues:

I have some folders that house data files. Each data file might be 100k. It crawls through these. Nothing has changed. Any idea why?

I keep my outlook PSTs in a mail folder in my documents. I have a PST from FY08, for example, that it is re-copying right now. No idea why. I havent opened it, accessed it or done anything with it in a long time. It makes the process take a lot longer because Im copying GB size files across USB, which can be slow, at least on my computer...

Any ideas?

No ideas, but I feel your pain. We have the same hunk of [censored] on our computers. Sometimes I feel like I spend as much time fooling around with it to get it to work as I would if I just did the backups manually.
