smart outlets

hi,

I have a dehumidifier in my basement, and I want something so that when the dehumidifier turns on, a fan comes on to circulate air in the basement.

Ive seen the smart strip surge suppressors online at amazon, but I really want only 2 outlets and no extension cord, as the dehumidifier pulls like 13A and its cord is of sufficient length.

The smart strips have a feeder line, which I dont want, and are like $35 because they have multiple outlets, surge, filtering, etc. I dont need all that. Just something so that when the appliance turns on, the other outlet comes on also.

Alternately, is there a device similar to a winter watchman, but that is triggered by humidity? I could work that.

Wow, thats great... Looks like just what I wanted!

I was finding others online for much more $. $16.99 is far more palatable...

I don't see any description of the Craftsman outlet. I THINK it is OK for you, but check out the functions first.

I use several of them in my shop. When a RO sander is turned on the attached Shopvac comes on too.
