I agree - I also tend to grab nut drivers when working on appliances

That maybe true but i don't use a tool belt working on cars.

Just ordered a set of 3 classic unused PB Swiss (119 series) from eBay for just under $20. If I like them I will get a complete set as I like to have a sets in my garage and basement. Heading to Home depot today so I will check out the Kleins too.

I have stubby's in PH#1 and #2 and 4-5 and 6 slotted. They get less use than the standards. Another very useful tool for automotive work is a bit ratchet with bits.

I use this one from Stahlwille but Stanley had a good one years ago that you can still find on ebay.
This is the secret to Stanley, they turned the name into garbage for the US market, the good tools (and there were some very good ones) are being sold under the Proto brand.

In Europe the Proto brand isn't well known and you still get the original Stanley branded on them. the 3/8 Micro head Ratchet under the Stanley name was made in USA was sold at about $20 it is now sold only under the proto name for $50. In Europe you still get the Stanley, same exact tool.

Thanks Trav

Great to have you on this forum

Lots of opinions, that's for sure. For me, I've used almost everything over 35 years of using tools every day. For me, now, I like several brands. I'm not into fantastic prices, just good quality. I like Klein, Pratt-Read, Milwaukee's new ones, DeWalt's new ones. And believe it or not, HF's Pittsburg Pro line for home are great, especially for the price, around $10!
But if stuck with only one choice, it would probably be Milwaukee. They may not be the longest lasting, only time will tell, but they are just so darn convenient to use. I have some other screwdrivers with really big handles for really tough screws, but for everyday use, the Milwaukees are great. I wouldn't be upset to be stuck with the Klein or Pratt-Reads either. The DeWalts don't come in enough sizes to be practical as an "only" set.
