Slime & dryrot

The rear tire of my Husqvarna lawn tractor was flat after the winter. I filled it and saw some stuff bubbling out of a dry rot crack. I assume the Slime stays liquid until it oozes out. I did not add any Slime, maybe prior owner did. I am hoping to put off dealing with the tire until fall as other more important projects.

if you have cracks in the tires large enough to have tire sealant leak out of, I'd say those tires are shot.,,

Yep, I changed mine out after the dry rot set in.

Wasnt worth messing with.

It seems to be holding after I filled the tire. I will get new tires, but want to do some other spring projects first. Its not that critical, I can mow my lawn with a self propelled walk behind if needed (at this point that its needed to get me exercise).

I found that using slime in dry rotted mower tires doesn't stop the leak, but it will slow it down a lot. To the point where you might only have to add air every few times instead of before every mowing.
