Sleep Issues with my TV

I have a Sony TV, Sony AV and Apple TV. It irritates me that even though my TV and Apple TV don't go to sleep until the time I set them
in the setup on Apple TV, my Sony Receiver does whatever it wants. So, I am watching Judge Judy reruns and then go to bathroom, fridge,
let the dogs out, get the mail, feed the blue birds, change to PJ's, decide to pop popcorn, etc....I come back 20 minutes later and my TV
and the Apple TV are still on but the receiver is off. Now I have to press the power button a few times to get the TV and Apple TV to turn off.
Then I power them all back up and usually it goes back to what I was watching.

Is there a way to keep my receiver on? I have gone through the menu and can't find an appropriate button.

It's likely that Judge Judy stuff messing it up.

But if not, try this - "auto standby"

  1. Select [Settings] - [System Settings] from the home menu.
  2. Select [Auto Standby].
  3. Set [On] or [Off].
When you set [On], the receiver switches to standby mode after approximately 20 minutes.

It might not apply to your particular model, but that's the general operation. If that doesn't get it, look up the model # on the back of the receiver and search by it and for it's user manual.

You were correct!!!!!!!

I finally found the auto standby and was able to turn it off.

Thank you!!
