Siphon pump for gasoline

Looking for a siphon pump to drain the gasoline from my Ariens snowblower I don’t see an easy way to do this otherwise. Does Harbor freight have anything that will do?

The Pittsburgh transfer pump is decent.

I use a clear tube and good technique. It keeps things simple and keeps my mouth free of gas.

I have used the "giggle" hose from HF with great success for filling boats and PWC's. I suspect it will work the other way. You probably won't get all the fuel out but it should be fine.

The other option is to fill it up and leave it for next season.

Like @Kestas says, Keep the tube elevated. Suck gas up into tube making sure there are no air bubbles (always gas going up, not sideways or down. Bend tube above gas level. Quick thumb over end in mouth. Then quick down to the recipient canister.

Mine is from Harbor Freight. They have a good one for about $7. It has orange tubing.

after siphoning the fuel that you can get out be sure to then run it dry to remove the remaining fuel and especially fuel still in your carb. If your Ariens has a plastic tank like mine then I always run those dry at end of season.

The trick to mouth siphoning is to use a clear tube, so that you see the gas coming your way.

These can be found for around $9 Amazon, and work well enough.

Harbor Freight actually sells a small manual siphon pump that works fine for stuff like that. It’s basically a bulb pump with two hoses that you squeeze to start the flow, and then gravity does the rest. I used one before to drain gas from a mower and it worked pretty well.
