Simple trick for small stuck screws

Like headlight mounting ring screws. Apply heat to them using a pencil-type soldering iron. I did this on my old Impala several years ago to replace what I think were original headlights with halogen sealed beams - I had also put some Kroil on them, but when I heated a bit with the soldering iron they gave off a little 'click' and came right out.

Putting some valve lapping compound on the screwdriver will help the screwdriver grip the screw.
