I called Purolator and spoke with a guy in the engineering dept. He did say all their P1's have the same media, just different amount, size etc.

No, i'm not 100% I want 15w-40. I basically Have 2 vehicles I'm tryin to get on the same oil.
94 v6 4runner that has 140K, no smoke, runs good. truck is lifted and driven hard off-road and onroad daily. the 2nd is a 1990 Turbo Supra with 95K original miles and is driven daily, once in a while I'll get on it. I figured 15w-40 Delo or rotella would work for both.

You can save yourself a whole lot of losses with the use of the Rotella synth ..if you can make the OCI long enough. I'm kinda dedicated to synths ..especially when it comes to heavy weights. Those who need the heavier hot viscosity ..rarely need the liability of the cold/warm up viscosity. It's the only way that I know to offset the minus side of the equation "out of the bottle"

I've heard the syn rotella isn't much better than regular rotella, just has better cold start properites. I live in a place where you can cook eggs at 10am on the driveway. I've burned my knees on the roof before. I'm ONLY concerned with HEAT. lol. The Delo is 21% thicker than SAE 30 limit, rotella is 26% thicker than SAE 30 limit. Theres a 4% difference in Visc @ 212F between delo and rotella... delo being 4% thinner.
