Should i change my oil or wait?

The last time i changed my oil was at 137,290 miles on October 30th and now the mileage is 139000 so i haven't hit 3000 miles yet to change it but its almost gonna be 5 months without an oil change. Should i wait till it hits 140,290 so it will be 3,000 miles or change it now? I dont drive the car that much.

Mobil Super High Mileage 10w30 is what i used (synthetic blend)

I'd probably change it since it's conventional dyno oil. It does no harm, besides a little bit to your wallet. You're using cheap oil anyway, so why not? It's been 6 months.

I figure when it comes to changing your oil, if you have to ask yourself "should I?" then you probably should.

Oops, I counted wrong. I'd wait until the end of April or early May in that case then, not until 3k miles have passed.

The problem with a "synthetic blend" is they don't say how much is conv and how much is synth. 50/50 would be a blend, but so is 99% conv/1% synth. You don't really know how much of either is in the "blend" because they won't tell you... probably because it's never consistent.
 
We can't say. You did not tell us how the car was driven. If just low mileage yet all the trips were say 15 miles or more each, no problem leaving it in. It is is a lot of short trips, i would change it.

What type of driving the oil has seen matters.

True enough, but he is barely driving it already (year), thus the synthetic-conventional ratio won't matter. He could easily do once a year OCI with conventional and not have any problems.
 
Do you have other work to do on the car? If so, and it's convenient, change the oil too. No work scheduled, wait until you have gone at least 3K (up to 5K is OK) and it's time to do some other work. The oil is not going to care if it's 3K or 4K ...

Use a good filter, keep it topped off. Don't be a clock watcher

No other work is needed at the moment. The car is up to date its just they say which ever comes first 3k miles or 3 months and its almost been 5 but i dont drive the car much because since i changed the oil its been cold snowy and they throw salt on the roads so i drive it only when the roads are dry and start it up once here and there.When i do drive it i take it around town or highway it once a week.

Not that it matters i guess but the car is a 1999 oldsmobile lss supercharged. 1 owner car and is super clean is why i dont drive it in the snow and dont drive it much but sucky thing is i have no garage for it.

I'd wait. There is no real requirement for 3-months. Any UOA will tell you that yearly is often enough in most cases becasue the oil is still in good shape.

Sleep well and wait for the next time it needs other work. Do it all at once on a nice sunny day
