I need to buy an entire new diesel fuel filter mount for my car. The original one has a 9 micron filter element, a priming pump, a coolant heat exchanger, and a float-type water-in-fuel sensor (a switch that closes a circuit to ground). I'd buy a new one, but it's $300 and the priming pump diaphragm reliably fails when exposed to modern fuels.

I'd like to keep the heater functionality, but I can switch to electric, which is more common. The WiF sensor is not so important to me if there's a clear bowl I can look at. I don't even know if the modern conductivity-type WiF sensors are compatible with the car without building an interface module.

Flow rate is modest--probably 5 GPH.

I found the Parker Racor 215R1210 (Google search results), which fits my needs, but I want to shop around before I order this evening.

Space is really limited, so those neat Fleetguard Fuel Pro units aren't an option. Does anyone know of any other filter housings/mounts like that Racor?

Thanks!
